About the Book
These poems remember the author’s great grandmother, and are a tribute to the mother figures in her life. Each poem is a capsule of a habit or a doing that has left a mark. The way mothers love unendingly, over generations, are committed to the pages within, set in edifice.

About the Author
Kelly is an 18-year old writer from Singapore. Ever since the age of eight, she has been writing poems and stories in small notebooks. Over the years, writing has evolved into a very personal space for her, where feelings and thoughts find a way to be articulated and understood. Kelly’s poetry is preoccupied with ideas and issues closest to her heart, drawing inspiration from both the physical and human aspects of her environment. She is a two-time winner for the Commonwealth Essay Competition, and particularly enjoys writing prose and poetry. She is currently a student at Hwa Chong Institution, and wishes to continue exploring her identified passion in writing. In Edifice is her debut publication.
